Maman Clutch Bags
Back in 70's and 80's, when my father went on work travel, he would bring what was once 'exotic fashion leather' to my mother. Ready wear luxury clutch bags were not widely available (or affordable) in Turkey back then. My mom would take the leather to shoemakers along with a fashion magazine in hand. She would pick a bag and a shoe design from the magazine and the talented craftsman would do the exact design with the materials my father brought.
Years later, in my late twenties, I stumbled upon these gorgeous bags in my mother's closet and immediately fell in love with their design. I think they are still fashionable, stylish and they have an amazing story hidden behind. I decided to (re)brand them as 'Maman' Clutch Bags.
